On Wednesday, February 21st Loki Wine hosted a Rhone Wine Dinner at Chapter.
Martin Champagne from Domaine M Chapoutier took us through a tasting of seven wines which accompanied a menu specially designed to match. He showcased the exquisite range of Northern and Southern Rhones where Chapoutier produce wines of finesse and grace.
Two stunning whites, Saint Joseph and Condrieu, accompanied the Seared Brixham Scallop course while La Bernardine Chateauneuf du Pape with its cherry fruit was matched with Smoked Duck Breast.
A fascinating comparison were the Les Meysonniers Crozes Hermitage and the La Sizeranne Hermitage to accompany the superb Roasted Sirloin of Dry Aged Beef. La Sizeranne really knocked it out of the park!
To finish, Rita created a rich (yet deceptively light) Â and smooth Dark Chocolate Cremeux that was perfection with the Bila-Haut Banyuls.
